Counting Down

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend. Mine was pretty great, although I’m still recovering from multiple sunburns. Pale people like myself don’t do too well with long sun exposure, but luckily, the burn is relatively mild in relation to past burns.

And now that the Fourth of July is over, I am officially in vacation countdown mode! Granted, we still have another month and a half until we leave, but let’s be honest, for someone who starts counting down to her December birthday in September, a month and a half in pretty reasonable. And since, for no apparent reason, I’ve thrown good nutrition and exercise out the window for the better part of this year, I think now is as good a time as any to start taking my health a bit more seriously. I’m sharing this with you because I’m going to need you to hold me accountable. AKA if you see me reaching for that doughnut that I don’t even really want, just slap that bad boy right out of my hand. (I use doughnuts as the example here because I don’t care for them all that much and yet I still eat them every now and then, simply because they look good…)

And bonus, if I can be really strong for the next month and a half, I can go crazy in Hawaii! That’s how it works, right?

Anyway, if you have any fun and delicious healthy recipes, send them my way. I’m always on the lookout. Thanks for reading and have a wonderful Tuesday!
