Good Friday

It’s finally Friday! Let’s all just take a moment to celebrate that, can we?

I’ve never understood the concept of “Casual Friday.” Friday is my favorite day of the work week. I WANT to dress nicely for the occasion! I personally like to save my best clothes for Friday. We really ought to observe a “Casual Monday.” There is nothing about Monday that makes me want to dress in formal work-wear. We should use Mondays as a day to slowly ease back into dressing professionally. Don’t you think? OK, that’s the end of my rant. Can you tell I have strong feelings about this subject?

Anyway, I should also say, “Happy Good Friday!” I can’t believe Easter is already this Sunday. I feel like everything just keeps sneaking up on my this year. Nevertheless, I’m looking forward to celebrating Good Friday and Easter with my church family this weekend, with a service tonight and of course, one on Sunday. This month I’ve been rereading the Gospels and learning more and more about the life and death of Jesus, as told from different accounts and it’s really made me reflect on the price that Christ paid for my salvation. It’s a truth that I’m aware of, but don’t always fully recognize the gravity of, which has really convicted me lately.

So, today I just want to pause and take a moment to thank God for the utmost sacrifices, and the fact that because of that I am saved. I hope you’ll join me!
