I'll be perfectly candid, I did not originally intend to do a 4th of July post. However, the more I thought about it, the more I realized that a lot of what I've been wearing lately is very Americana-inspired. It seemed fitting then, that I should pull together a roundup of some of the outfits I've been wearing that would be perfect for Independence Day. Side note: Is anyone else as shocked as I am that it's actually almost July??

Typically, when it comes to themed outfits, I tend to think the less literal the better. That being said, I love finding subtle ways to incorporate traditional holiday colors into a look.

For instance, you probably won't see me sporting an American flag tee come Tuesday, but I can definitely get down with a crisp white button-up, denim cutoffs, and a red neck scarf.
